I think the "all will be revealed" thing comes from the fact that researchers are actually looking for real answers. Given enough time, all WILL be revealed.

But modern art is a notion of self expression, and this is what the artist is empahsising, also art has been around for thousands of years, at the begining of the 20th century art was almost over (the techniques were perfected) and not much more could be achieved, so artists wanted to break barriers and paint bullshit , but structure it and call it bullshit (below link is usefull) . I think this was basically to see what they had missed before and because of the great invention, yes, the photo camera.
Split ends are when the hair splits on the bottom of the hair in two pieces like a piece of paper. Breakage is when your hair breaks off. Breakage happens at ANY length. And happens to split ends. The split will continue up the hair strand, eventually weakening and breaking off. The only way to get rid of Split ends and breakage is a trim. Because like I said, It's like a piece of paper. One it's ripped in half, You can't put it back together.
